WHO WE ARE
MAASAI MOLAR exists to support the people of the Maasai Mara, Kenya with qualified volunteer Medical and Dental personnel.
Kenya has just 1 dentist per 42,000 of the population (the ideal is 1:7,400), yet most of whom practise in urban areas such as Nairobi, leaving the majority of the population without access to basic dental care. Up to 40% of school aged children have decayed teeth, which leads to poor concentration, lower grades and psycho-social issues.

WHAT WE DO
We are there
We exist to help the population of the Maasai Mara with healthcare and education. Helping to improve lives by promoting a sustainable approach.
We provide Education
Oral health lessons are created to make students and teachers aware of the need to reduce refined carbohydrates in the form of sugary snacks and drinks and to brush daily. With the support of our corporate partners we are able to provide toothbrushes for the children to use at school.
We help with safe births
To protect the lives of mothers, babies and children through safe maternal services
To promote compassionate care throughout the maternal experience
We build dental care
Our aim is to provide a fixed dental clinic, with two surgeries and a sterilisation room. This will allow teams to come and provide a high level of care. As you can imagine this will take a great deal of funding and donations of equipment, with your help we can do it.
